The son of Boston Celtics Legend, Tommy Heinsohn, Paul has a lifetime
of experience with the game of basketball. A well know technical coach,
Paul currently is the Freshman coach at Xaverian High School. Prior
to joining the Xaverian coaching staff Paul ran the girl’s basketball
program at Blessed Sacrament School where he transformed a perennial
losing program into a league powerhouse. A former stand out athlete
at Catholic Memorial High School where he earned All Conference honors
for basketball and both All Scholastic and All American honors for
football. Paul went on to become a standout member of the Duke University
football team until his career was ended by injury |
Tom Cavanaugh |
Tom is as experienced a basketball coach as you will find out there.
He has coached at all levels in the game from CYO to High School with
both girls and boys. Tom was the long time varsity coach and Athletic
Director at the old Don Bosco Tech in Boston, as well as the Girls
JV coach at Blue Hills Regional Technical and the Freshman coach at
Xaverian High School. Currently he is the assistant varsity coach
at Xaverian. After a standout career at Xaverian and Worcester Academy,
Tom went on to play at the University of New Hampshire, where he started
for 2 ½ years and was their co-captain his senior year. Outside of
basketball Tom is the assistant principal at Blue Hills and has a
wealth of experience working with kids. |
Katie Robertson |
Katie is a former standout athlete for Dover High School where she
won back to back New Hampshire state championships in her Junior and
Senior years. Following her high school success, she went on to be
a contributing member of the UNH Women's basketball team. Katie started
her coaching career by teaching at various basketball camps throughout
Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts while in high school and college.
Since then she has been constantly involved with the game, becoming
a well known fixture in the basketball programs of her home town of
Medfield. After spending many years working with the In-Town and Metro
programs Katie has moved on to the AAU level. Katie's love of the
game has positively impacted many young girls. |
Patrick Curran |
Patrick is a former standout basketball player for Milton High School.
He joins the Legends after two years as the Director of Basketball
Operations for the Northeastern University Women's team. In this role
he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, assisted
with recruiting, and was involved in the on court coaching of the
players. He is a seasoned instructor with experience teaching at some
of the area's top basketball camps and clinics. He is also an active
member of the WBCA, which is the women's basketball coaches association.
Patrick comes from a well-known basketball family. His sister Kerry
Curran played at Boston College and also was the assistant women's
basketball coach at B.C. a few years ago |
John DiCalogero |
Coach DiCal is the heart and soul of Blessed Sacrament basketball
in Walpole. Under his tutelage the program has grown from a hapless
perennial loser to one of the stronger grammar/middle school programs
in the state. Along the way John has touched the lives of literally
hundreds of young boys and girls. John is as passionate a student
of the game as you will find. |
Matt DiCalogero |
Matt can be called Mr Basketball in the town of Walpole. A four year
starter and Bay State League All Star, Matt was a starring member
of Walpole’s undefeated Massachusetts D2 State Championship team.
