Paul Heinsohn - Director

The son of Boston Celtics Legend, Tommy Heinsohn, Paul has a lifetime of experience with the game of basketball. A well know technical coach, Paul currently coaches the Oliver Ames Freshman team and is an assitant with the varsity. Prior to Oliver Ames he coached the Freshman at Xaverian High School where his teams compiled a 36-19 record and placed first in the Catholic Conference two out of three years. Paul got his coaching start at Blessed Sacrament School in Walpole where he was the director of the girl's program and stransformed a perennial losing program into a league powerhouse. A former stand-out athlete at Catholic Memorial High School where he earned All Conference honors for basketball and both All Scholastic and All American honors for football. Paul went on to become a standout member of the Duke University football team until his career was ended by injury.

Tom Cavanaugh

Tom is as experienced a basketball coach as you will find out there. He has coached at all levels in the game from CYO to High School with both girls and boys. Tom was the long time varsity coach and Athletic Director at the old Don Bosco Tech in Boston, as well as the Girls JV coach at Blue Hills Regional Technical and the assistant varsity coach at Xaverian High School. After a standout playing career at Xaverian and Worcester Academy, Tom went on to play at the University of New Hampshire, where he started for 2 ½ years and was their co-captain his senior year. Outside of basketball Tom is the assistant principal at Blue Hills and has a wealth of experience working with kids.

John Depasquale

John has been a high school head coach for over 21 years, the last 11 at Ursuline Academy. During that time he as amassed over 240 career wins and a Division 4 Massachusetts State Championship. As recoginition for this success John was named Coach of the year by the Boston Globe and the Massachusetts State Coaches Association. A highly regard teacher of the game, John has worked at countless camps and clinics, including the Players Edge development clinics and the Boston College Elite Players summer camp.

Pat Brennan

Coach Brennan is in his first season as an assistant with the Oliver Ames Boys Basketball program. Pat earned his Undergraduate and Masters Degrees from Springfield College. Brennan retired in 2006 after serving 36 years as a guidance counselor at Brockton High School. He has a long and successful resume at the high school level, having coached track, cross country and girls basketball. It was on the court, particularly, where Brennan made his mark, posting a career winning percentage of ,775 at Brockton High including numerous league championships, two eastern MA titles and one state championship. Pat holds the distinction of coaching the only girl’s team in state history to win three-straight Division One South Sectional Titles, Pat also served for one year as the Assistant Women’s coach at Stonehill College.

Named Coach of the year by the Boston Globe, Brockton Enterprise and the Massachusetts State Coaches Association, he was also elected to enter the Brockton High School Hall of Fame. Pat has successfully coached both boys and girls AAU Teams, has presented and run numerous basketball clinics in addition he has particularly enjoyed coaching travel teams in the town of Easton for many years. Pat is enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with the OA Tigers in what he considers a great basketball community with vast potential
